David founded Navos Technologies in 2020 with a simple thesis: that financial services needed a technology partner which truly understood the industry from the inside, one that could combine deep domain expertise with modern engineering and remaining in place long term as a partner.
Over a 30-year career spanning the MoD, Airbus, BBC and RAC Motoring Services, David built a reputation for steering complex business transformations through technology and delivering results regardless of the headwinds. From 2009 to 2020, he served as CIO and Executive Director at Hargreaves Lansdown, which at that point was a FTSE 100 listed business, where he spearheaded a sweeping digital transformation, evolving the core technology platform, managing significant regulatory responsibilities, and launching a technology and innovation hub in Warsaw in 2016 that continues to operate today.
The industry took notice. David was named UK CIO of the Year by Computing and the Chartered Institute for IT, appeared multiple times in the prestigious CIO100 and Computing CIO Top 10 lists, and in 2019 was recognised by HMG Strategy as one of the Top Technology Executives to Watch globally.
At Navos, that same drive has found a new purpose. In 2023 he was awarded FinTech Leader of the Year by FinTech South West and EY, and in 2025 received the highly coveted CEO of the Year from the Systems in the City panel. Recognition of a leadership style defined by pace, passion, and a refusal to treat technology as a box-ticking exercise.
